About Me

Supporting People to Create a Kinder, Healthier Relationship with Food and Themselves

Struggling with mindful eating and emotional wellbeing? I’m Jacqui Barnett, MSc, here to help you build a kinder relationship with food and yourself. I’m a mindfulness and yoga teacher with over 30 years of personal practice. I live in a 400 year old cottage in England with my partner and two dogs. I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people—from women seeking ease with food and self-care to professionals in high-stress environments like the BBC, the NHS, and even professional athletes.

While mindfulness is transformative, I’ve learned that sometimes we need more. That’s why I integrate restorative practices, nervous system regulation, and evidence-based behavior change tools to support people in building lasting habits that foster balance and joy—even in the busiest of lives.

Here, you’ll find science-backed courses designed to be compassionate, practical, and empowering.

My Journey

Why I Do This Work

For years, I struggled with emotional eating and yo-yo dieting, feeling trapped in cycles of guilt and self-criticism. Mindfulness was my first step toward change, but it wasn’t enough on its own. It was through combining mindfulness with nervous system regulation and restorative practices that I finally found freedom.
This personal transformation led me to dedicate my life to helping other people create that same ease and confidence in their bodies and minds. I understand firsthand how difficult change can be—but I also know that with the right tools and understanding, it becomes so much easier. No matter how long you’ve been struggling or how old you are, change isn’t just possible—it can be enjoyable and deeply freeing!

My Unique Approach

Science-Backed, Compassion-Led

Lasting change requires more than motivation alone. My approach nurtures both your relationship with food and your emotional well-being by focusing on the science of how your brain and body work together.

  • Mindful Eating: Cultivate awareness and kindness in how you nourish yourself, transforming the way you relate to food.
  • Nervous System Regulation: Incorporate simple, restorative practices to create calm, build emotional balance, and foster resilience.
  • Optimizing Brain Chemistry: Leverage evidence-based strategies grounded in neuroscience to support habits that feel good and last—helping you move beyond cravings and stress-driven cycles.

This isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress, self-compassion, and discovering how to support yourself with tools that fit seamlessly into your everyday life.
